lifters should consume fuel only when used, like engines

four fitted lifters looks pretty. watching them drain fuel while moving horisontally is painful. also fuel consumption is abit excessive considering, unlike enginges, the prettyness requires at least 4 lifters fitted. if there was a side version, two could be an option, but its not.

I would also like a button to turn lifters on or off like the sails and thrusters. I only use thrusters in combat situations when speed is vital, and I want to do the same with the lifters.
