Transfer character/Airship to new world
We should have the ability to move our character and airship to a new world/server. Possibly limited to the same game mode, and for servers that allow the transfers.

This is fantastic feedback ! I think one day it would be fun to allow ship transfers, but maybe to only certain servers that allow it. With that said we do not want to create an imbalance. The blueprint system is a fantastic way to approach this and fortunately we already have a ton of tech to support it. Look for this feature (or something close to it) in future patches!! -

Hindric WermeI would add a dose of caution on this feature. its kinda what killed Aloft for me. importing a fully tech'ed up ship into a starter game or into a game with new users breaks the progression and jumps everyone to end game. For me, any survival game is about the start to end game progression. Without it, it just becomes a creative game.
So, i'm good with importing ships/characters, but with the idea that you have to pay the cost in materials to build them or some sort of stop-gap to prevent the loss of starting with nothing and growing to excellence.
This is outside of a back-up thing to help you fix a broken save or something. For fixing a broken save and restoring progress, that would be a different QoL feature. -

Brian Johnson AdminWe were just having this conversation internally - we want to allow ships to go from one server to another.. we think it would be pretty awesome (ala Valheim) However , this word of caution was raised by our CTO as well. Balancing a badass ship in a stater world could be tricky. The tax idea came up as well. We do have tier "breakthroughs" we could limit it that way ..m have to be above certain tier... lots of options!

Johannes Lima MergedAfter reading earlier feedback about transferring characters and ships between worlds, as well as integrating the ship builder more closely with the main game, I wanted to share an additional suggestion.
It would be great if players could create a consistent main character at the start of the game that can carry over between different worlds or future game sessions, including certain progression elements such as health upgrades, unlocked building knowledge, or general experience. This could help strengthen player identity and long term engagement with the game.
Regarding ships, I think a balanced approach would be the ability to save blueprints of previously built ships. These blueprints could then be placed as holograms in a dry dock, showing which materials are required so players can gradually rebuild their designs rather than transferring fully completed ships directly.
